What Happens?
- Ultrasound imaging is performed to plan treatment
- Local numbing at the catheter insertion site
- A catheter is guided into the diseased vein under ultrasound
- Small amounts of medical adhesive are applied along the vein
- Catheter is removed, and a bandage is placed
